How it works

The code holds a WhatsApp click-to-chat link. When someone scans it, WhatsApp opens a chat with your number and your message ready to go. Nothing is sent until they tap Send.

Use the full international number

Start with your country code and leave out any leading zero, for example +1 for the United States or +66 for Thailand. A number without the country code will open the wrong chat or none at all.

Where to put it

Shop counters, product packaging, delivery bags, event flyers, and business cards. It works for personal accounts and WhatsApp Business accounts alike.

Questions

Does a WhatsApp QR code expire?

No. Your number and message are stored inside the code, so it keeps opening a chat with you for as long as the number is on WhatsApp.

Does the person need to save my number first?

No. The code opens a chat with you directly, without adding you to their contacts.

Does it work with WhatsApp Business?

Yes. Click-to-chat links work with both personal and Business accounts.

Does the message send automatically?

No. The message is typed in for them, and they choose whether to tap Send.
